Dressing like a Hallmark Movie

Since as long as I can remember, I have been absolutely obsessed with Christmas. From the sights and sounds to the decor and traditions, once November hits, I am ready for it ALL.

Along with that, I love to dress like a walking billboard for the holiday season, and a big part of that is new staple holiday plaids each year. There is just something about plaid that is so classic, chic, and makes you feel like you should be on the set of a Hallmark movie. You can easily pair a plaid shirt with sweaters or vests, do a full tuck or front tuck or a trendy half tuck or just leave it untucked - and look totally pulled together no matter what. Whether you have a preppy style like me, or are more edgy or work chic or casual, plaid shirts work for every body type and every style.

I have a serious Red Buffalo Plaid addiction, so I picked up that version and the White/Red Plaid version since those two scream holiday spirit! I do think these run a little big - I could do either a M or L in these - this year, I decided on the L since I wanted them loose for layering and a little added length for when I pair these with leggings or skinny jeans, but I easily could have gone with the M.
