Along with the ongoing lifestyle finds that I love featuring in depth, I also wanted to bring you something regularly each week so I am officially introducing Top Pick Tuesday! Each week on Tuesdays, I will be bringing you three of my favorite items that I firmly stand behind and use or consume in my every day life.
Top Pick #1: Teavana Tea
Do you like Medicine Balls from Starbucks?!? Did you know that they use Teavana Tea to make those??? You can even make them at home since both Target and Amazon offer the exact tea bags that Starbucks uses in those.
I was first introduced to Teavana when we were living out in San Diego several years ago. Teavana stores were all over out there, and I was hooked the instant I tried the tea because it was the most flavorful tea that I had ever had, hands down. So, I was super excited when Starbucks introduced Teavana into their stores, and then when the tea bags started being offered at mainstream retailers.
I always keep these stocked at home, and my personal favorite is the Peach Tranquility Tea since it is packed with flavor (though truly, all of their flavors pack a flavor punch). Here are the links to grab them from either Amazon or Target:
Top Pick #2: Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish
Aside from the occasional pedicure, I have never been one to get my nails done at a salon. I had three kids in four and a half years, so going to a nail salon wasn't practical for me, nor was it a good financial decision (because...kids). As my kids have grown, I still just do my nails at home when I find a few moments to myself because it just fits my lifestyle better.
That said, I have tried a LOT of nail polishes over the years, and my tried and true favorite is Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish. This nail polish holds up better than any other brand that I have tried - it lasts me several days without chipping, and holds up through regular and frequent hand washing, loads upon loads of laundry, hand washing dishes daily (yes, I actually like to do that!), and all of the other daily tasks that we undertake. I consider it a major win if I can get a week's worth of good looking polish out of my at home mani, and the Essie Gel Couture Polish is literally the only polish that I have ever used that will actually do so.
There are tons of color options available, and you can see a couple of my current fav colors in the pic below. Here is a link to it at both Amazon and Target:
Top Pick #3: Ever Lavish Body Butter
You guys, I have tried ALLLLL of the body lotions, butters, and creams through the years. I have collected many, and there are only a few that I have found to ever actually be worth the money.
As I have aged, I have also paid a lot more attention to what I am putting on my body, and I found a MAJOR winner a couple of years ago in Ever Skincare's Lavish Body Butter. This product is a moisturizing powerhouse - I can put it on once in the morning, and it leaves my skin hydrated. I don't get itchy or dry skin by the evening hours anymore, plus it has a light, clean scent that is reminiscent of Lemon Meringue (so both men and women like using it!), or you can get the Unscented version. It is a must have in my house, and I have no problem putting it on my kiddos since it contains only clean ingredients. Did I mention that it also firms your skin?!? :)
And if you need any more convincing that you need this, it is an Allure Best of Beauty Winner, AND when Lavish released, there was a 2,000 person waitlist for it because it had been so anticipated after initial product reviews. This is just one review of it from Allure, and a glimpse into why it is such a fan favorite: "This body butter lives in an unassuming little white jar, which looks cute on your vanity/bathroom counter. It's thick like frosting, but it spreads like a sherbert-y mousse and absorbs into your skin quickly. Your body is body-lotion-commercial levels of soft and silky and, sure, you smell a bit like a dessert."
