Top Pick Tuesday - Beach/Pool Essentials!

Hi there! Thanks for joining me for today's Top Pick Tuesday! My hubby and I decided about a month ago to invest in a nice above ground pool since literally every event we had on the calendar for this Summer was cancelled. We figured that this would be something fun for our young kiddos that would keep them occupied - and we were sure right about that! Due to this investment, I find myself outside on our deck or in our pool every single day right now, and that sparked some recent purchases that I am smitten with and wanted to share this week since they are so relevant right now!

Top Pick #1: Century Star Women's Athletic Two Piece Tummy Control Bathing Suit

If you are sporting a swimsuit all the time around your kids and neighbors, you may like having a full coverage swimsuit like me. I have a couple of suits that I definitely classify as "mom" suits that give my rear more coverage so it isn't exposed when I am climbing into and out of our pool, but I was recently looking for a suit specifically with shorts.

I came across several different options, but based on both the style I was specifically look for and the amazing reviews, I ended up purchasing the Century Star Women's Athletic Two Piece Tummy Control Bathing Suit. As stated in the name, this is a two piece suit that comes with a tankini style top and boy short bottoms. I did find that it runs true to size, and I would definitely suggest ordering according to the size chart. This style suit is super flattering with a flowy feel that doesn't cling, so it is definitely for those of us who like that added bonus :)

I went with the basic black because I love how chic it looks, but I do like the variety of prints available in this suit. Black is super easy to work with, and as you will see in another one of my picks this week, I can easily pair my rash guard with these boy shorts for another look and another suit option.

And by the way, some of you have been asking me about Amazon's estimated ship dates - Amazon has been giving delivery estimates that are further out due to the number of packages being processed right now, but every single package I have ordered over the past weeks has arrived much sooner than expected!

Top Pick #2: TSLA Women's UPF 50+ UV/Sun Protection Rash Guard Swim Shirt

Every Summer, I always make sure that my kids have new rash guards to go along with their swimsuits so they have UV protection. My boys are extremely fair skinned and burn easily, so these are absolute essentials and so good for the extra sun protection.

With myself and my kids spending so much extra time in the sun due to the pool, I recently decided that I needed to grab extras for them, and one for myself since I didn't own a rash guard. I have been so happy with the rash guard that I purchased for myself, and I wanted to make sure to share because it is such a great value find for around $20 (most adult rash guards start around $30!)

The TSLA Women's UPF 50+ UV/Sun Protection Rash Guard Swim Shirt comes in many different color options and is super easy to wear. I do recommend sizing up one in this if you want a looser fit because rash guards tend to fit snug, but the fabric is great and super comfy when I am wearing it in the pool. I feel very protected from the sun in this rash guard, and I like the simple style since it is super wearable (I own the Plum option). As I mentioned above, I even pair this with the boy shorts from the suit that I just shared!

Rash guards are great not only for the pool or beach, but also for boating, hiking, running, etc because a top like this keeps you cool while also giving you full sun protection. I highly recommend this, no matter what outdoor activities you like to do where you find yourself getting lots of sun! Top Pick #3: Breezy Lane Women's Kimono Beach Coverup

A good beach/pool cover up is essential, and I recently went on the hunt for a new one that I could wear outside over my swimsuits when I am hanging out on my deck and not in the pool. I specifically was looking for a kimono style cover up, and as soon as I came across the patterns available with the Breezy Lane Women's Kimono Beach Coverup, I was sold.

I wanted a kimono style cover up specifically because they are easy to slip on and off. Not only that, but you can get either mid-length or long kimonos. Oftentimes these days, beach cover ups that you slip over your head are super short and sometimes barely even cover the rear (in which case, they aren't even worth the money in my opinion!), which is what I often find when I buy beach cover ups online. With kimono style cover ups, however, I can count on the length being there.

I also love a good kimono cover up because you can actually make it into a part of your regular wardrobe, so you are getting more bang for your buck! Kimonos make such a great layering piece year round, and this time of year, they are great to pop over a basic tank and shorts, or a t-shirt or tank dress, to give your outfit a totally elevated look. (If you are going in and out of air conditioning, these are also a nice lightweight layer to counteract a chill, yet they are lightweight when you wear outside!)

There are so many beautiful patterns available - I went with the Cold Sunset print because I love the watercolor floral look of it, but you really can't go wrong with any of the choices! I suggest grabbing a print that you could see incorporating into your regular wardrobe so you give yourself the option to wear it as more than just a beach/pool coverup. The sizing for a kimono tends to be one size fits all, and you can find the options here for around $20:
